Very Good Software

I've been using TurboTax for many years, now, and regularly am pleased that the software catches something I missed, to my benefit. This year, I made an error in the ID number on one of two forms from the same payer, resulting in a rejected return. Is there a way TT could save me from my own dumb keystroke mistakes? If not, it's still the best there is.
What's great about it: quick and efficient
What's not so great: didn't catch a discrepancy in ID numbers

2015 Turbo Tax Software

used to be easier to use.
What's great about it: mostly easy to use
What's not so great: hick-up at the end when selecting send a refund check. Program insists on using direct deposit...duh!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is my second year in a row with something weird that left me with a penalty. This year, I e-filed and expected a direct transfer from my account and it never happened so I was fined a penalty on 4/21. What the heck?!
What's great about it: pretty easy
What's not so great: I thought I had done an electronic transfer to pay but then found out I didn't

Program did not allow for out of pocket medical expenses, entry of annual medical contributions and expense of providing a child shelter, food etc.

missed the date

I thought I had filed on the 10th but by today when I didn,t get a response I knew something was wrong because it had never taken this long before. Went back in and found all this stuff at the end to get to the actual filing. This is the first time in 65 years I didn't get it in before the 15th. I am very upset..
What's great about it: the beginning is very good all the software was easy except the end
What's not so great: the end Ive used this for 3 years but there was so much stuff at the end I missed the filing.

getting better and worse

Yes, it's faster and more intelligent but the bugs are worse and require too much workaround. Incompatible versions (deluxe vs. business) Y2Y result in inconsistent auto downloads of previous year's data. e-filing is still a hit or miss proposition.
What's great about it: W2 dowloading
What's not so great: infinity loops, incomplete transfer of previous year's data

Late Filer Due to Turbo Tax

We had our taxes completed and thought they were filed on 4/18/206. After waiting for the automatic checking account deduction from our account that never occurred. We finally checked Turbo Tax. We tried over and over to efile. It would never complete. The final "Continue" button just never did anything. No message, no nothing. We had to go back and efile the Federal taxes only, and printed out our Colorado taxes and will file them via mail.
Due to Turbo tax, we now have a late file, and paid the extra 2.49% to file by a credit card instead of an automatic withdrawal from our checking account.
In addition, Turbo Tax/Intuit charged our account in November 2015 without our approval.
We have used Turbo Tax for years and are very disappointed in this product.
What's great about it: I like the Product
What's not so great: It could not send my state and so didn't send my Federal either
