frustrated for the first time

I have used Turbo Tax for at least a decade if not two. never had a problem. tonight I was trying to submit my son's return and it would just sit there. I spent 3 hours over and over. ended up going on line to repurchase the state then had to do a manual download for the federal for updates that are probably nothing to do with me and it would not allow me to submit the returns without doing all this and paying twice for the state.
might be looking elsewhere next year
What's great about it: familiar
What's not so great: could not submit final return for my son because update would not funciton

10 year Turbo Tax User

I have used Turbo Tax for about 10 years straight. I've convinced others that were afraid to do their own taxes to use Turbo Tax. They used it and were very happy. The interview questions are like a very good GPS application. Love Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: The extra fee for using a credit card to pay taxes
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not as Intuit-ive as Other Tax Software

I prefer H&R Block's tax software. I've used both the Intuit version and their competitor and the other just seems so much easier to navigate forward and backward, when jumping forward and backward are necessary. I'll use theirs next year.
What's great about it: Meh.
What's not so great: Unnecessarily difficult to jump back and then forward again.

Turbo is great but the Federal Carryover caught me

I was dumbfounded how to respond to the error inquiry about making adjustments to the Federal Carryover Worksheet. I don't think I applied this worksheet in 2014.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is very easy to use and has a lot of tools to make it easier to file state and Federal taxes.
What's not so great: I did not always know whether to complete sections or leave themblank when the issues did not apply to my tax return:

Not bad for average user

For instance, damage to your home that is not reimbursed could be a deduction. There are many more that I expected the deluxe version to cover.
What's great about it: easy to find help
What's not so great: There are a lot of items that it never brings up

2015 Tax Return

I found the program very informative and easy to use as always. The only miss was it did not mention form 5498 SA. I think I figure what it was but not sure.
What's great about it: Easy and fast

Easy even for a novice. :)
What's great about it: Helped me itemize which I would have thought was a waste of time
What's not so great: It cost a lot for the software and then I still had to pay for the state return. Didn't like that
