State Error

My state return was rejected. TT said it could be drivers license, PIN, AGI from last year, etc. But did not tell me exactly what the problem was. I went through the filing part again with no changes, and it let me file.
if there is still a problem, TT should NOT have let me file again.

What's great about it: Worked nice to guide me through the state and fed filing
What's not so great: State was rejected but TT did not give a specific reason

The software kept freezing while I was doing my return - took me longer to accomplish what should have been as easy task. It wasn't my computer as I was still able to open the internet and other programs. Last year I loved it since I didn't run into any issues like I did this year.

overall, very easy to use, questions and request for info is nicely laid out, not too many redundant questions. highly recommend!
What's great about it: easy to use, nice layout, logical
What's not so great: some of the 1099-div and 1099-int questions are a bit confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Railroad Retirement not so clear

Been using TurboTax for years and found it works well, is easy, and complete. This year the pension section was after most of the less common forms of income and the Railroad Retirement section was hard to find on the Social Security line. The real problem was that the form 1099 and the form 1099-R incomes, and federal tax paid had to be added together to make the complete income totals. There were no instructions about adding them. I'm not sure that the turbotax form "realizes" that there are two different forms.
What's great about it: led us through most things very well.
What's not so great: RRB hard to find and didn't state clearly the additions necessary

GREAT Tax software!

I waited till the last minute to fill my return, and I have to fill the Long form with schedule A. Was able to have everything with the state forms as well all done in 2 hours!
What's great about it: Quick and Easy to use
What's not so great: None!

If you live out of State and file with IL you must have your IL pin #.
I used the AGI and License info as TT instructed only to be rejected 4 times. I have yet to be able to alter this and put in the IL #. TT techs said I would have to continue to file by snail mail from now on. Why can't TT allow users to correct State signature pages. I spent 2 hours on the phone before they told me I could not use TT for IL. I paid for IL......

Love Turbo Tax. Easy to use, fast and accurate. I have used it to prepare my taxes for several years and have never had a problem. The ease was especially welcome with the healthcare reporting this year. I had a question and had to contact customer service and was very pleased with the prompt and friendly service.
What's great about it: Easy to use as it walks you through each step, fast and accurate
What's not so great: less expensive to purchase another disc than to purchase an additional state
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
