I have been using turbo tax since its inception. Format has always been user friendly and the upgrades include most current tax law updates.
What's great about it: Download in stead of disc
What's not so great: None

This year's was just okay. I was able to navigate last year's product better and easier. I never did find a place to be able to print specific pages for my own file. The part for recalculating the AGI for Minnesota was very confusing. I just had to leave it alone and hope it was correct or that the state would make any corrections for me. You basically have improved the product each year that I have used it (2005 - 2014) except maybe for 2015. In some areas a step back.
What's great about it: It seemed to move along a little faster
What's not so great: I liked last year's program better. I never did find a place to be able to print only specific pages of the tax form

Good for federal, not as good for state

The preparation of the federal tax return went well overall. I have been using H&R Block's tax TaxCut Deluxe software for the previous four years, but the interview process for TurboTax Deluxe was better.
On the downside, the software would have made me miss out on about a $500 state deduction if I had not realized that something was amiss, bypassed the interview process to go to the forms, and have fixed the problem there. That wasn't easy to do either because one form with that figure wouldn't permit me to change it so I had to look for another form where I could make the necessary changes. The specific problem I experienced related to TurboTax not using information from my W-2 about contributions to my state retirement plan.
What's great about it: Preparing the federal1040 went well...
What's not so great: ...but preparing the state return not as well.

Thanks for Johnny, who saved the day and solved the problems associated with filing the State return.
What's great about it: The ease to use, the layout and over all information available
What's not so great: The electonic filing of the state return was a major detriment that was time consuming and in efficient
