Great tax experiance

Easy to understand, everything spelled out clearly, makes filing tax's very easy.
What's great about it: Very easy to understand
What's not so great: Couldn't find last years PDF on my PC
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Meeting IRS Challenge

My only wish is for the ability to get a direct line for how to solve issues when input doesn't register properly. Example pension rollover registering as taxable when it's not or what to do if information is missing on a 1099R. It's stressful to just see a highlight asking for information that was not furnished. Having said that, I like the feel of being walked through our yearly governmental challenge.
What's great about it: Walks you through with many helpful hints.
What's not so great: Specific pension issues difficult to deal with.

Good program

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years. I used the interview for most of the tax, but Capital Gains and Dividend data input was confusing, and I had to go back to the forms to complete it. It is nice that Turbo Tax does all of the math for you.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Capital Gains confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Pretty Much ... It's All Good!

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and it does improve each year. For some reason, I couldn't get the CD to work, but it was easy to download it from the website. I like that I have an opportunity update the software, especially since I'm usually very close to the deadline to file before I start on my taxes. I had done my taxes myself for years, by hand. Since I like using the computer for most things, when Turbo Tax became available for the computer and online, I was very pleased. It's only gotten better. I must admit that I sometimes need to go online to look for information specific to my situation, but I don't think any software could address every situation for every single person. It doesn't take me nearly as long as it did when I was doing it by hand and I really appreciate being able to file my state taxes at the same time. While there are a few drawbacks (i.e., not enough examples) overall it's a good product.
What's great about it: Easy to use

2015 TurboTax Experience

Need to provide options for work sheets for entries when there are multiple items.
What's great about it: Fast and imports prior year tax definitions
What's not so great: Doesn't provide work sheets for Real Estate and Other taxes like previous years
