having to enter 1099-misc became a nightmare. Its just a little bit of additional income; its NOT a business. Why is this not an option?
What's great about it: importing from last year
What's not so great: misc. income turned into a business?

All went well until issues with PIN.

All good until PIN was rejected. Form defaulted to 2015 PIN which was not good. Help was not accurate in fixing the problem. It took 3X filing to get this right.. I hope.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: PIN caused several rejections - the help mode was not clear

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 5 years. It have a pretty simple situation...widows, kids at home, one income, some charities...it takes me about 3 hours to do my taxes after having been organized all year filing everything I need for my taxes. That includes the time spent comparing all records to last years just to make sure I have everything before I start. Every once ina while I have to click on the Help, but things are cleared up quickly and completely. Good product. Good price.
What's great about it: I like the interview questions so it covers all topics
What's not so great: None

The program prints out these perfect blank tax forms. Isn't it required to have the blanks filled in to file?
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: I have tried five times to print my taxes to mail.

Turbo Tax is great

It's great how Turbo Tax lets you automatically carry over info from one year to the next -- not only your personal info, but also carryover amounts, etc. Being able to see how my numbers have changed (or not) from the previous year also helps me to remember in which category I put certain expenses and deductions. Only drawback: I would like to have more info about the differences between California tax rules and the Federal rules, since it's not stated in Turbo Tax whether or not one should make an "adjustment." it just says, "make the adjustment if you need to" -- but I don't know if I need to since I don't know the CA rules. CA is a big state with lots of customers; Intuit should give us more info for the CA returns. Overall, though, it's a great product and a tremendous help at tax time.
What's great about it: It's easy to go through the questions, and if I want to review something, I can click over to the Forms .
What's not so great: I wish there was more explanation of what the rules are for my state (California).

Need to fix bug

I have used turbotax for the last 10 years but this year I was very disappointed. I have filed form C in the past few years, and my last year 1040 included it. This year 2015, I did not have to file Form C because I didn't have any business income or expenses. At the end of my completing the return, the review kept asking for use of vehicle, millage, and questions that didn't need to be asked. I know that form was imported along with all the other from 2014 return, but I did not indicate business income or expenses on 2015 form. I would like an explanation why.
What's great about it: walks you thru with ease
What's not so great: too many questions at end to sell products or services
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
