Easy Peasy to navigate

User friendly, easy to follow steps and safety net! What more could you want in a tax prep program?
What's great about it: Import previous return info
What's not so great: Should have used the free version
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This was the first time I have used TurboTax. It seemed very thorough and was pretty easy to use. Now, as long as the government does not find any problems with our return, I am already planning to use TurboTax again next year.

Cheaper than hiring someone

TurboTax is cheaper and more convenient than using an accountant. I'm pretty certain that my taxes are being filed honestly and that I am getting the largest legitimate return.
What's great about it: inexpensive, easy to use, and helpful answers to explanations
What's not so great: some things were still a little confusing

Better Every Year!

So each year I use TurboTax I like it a little bit better. I have been using it to file my taxes for about 4 years now. This year especially stood out, by being even more user friendly. The comments section once pieces were entered almost made me feel like I had a friendly accountant with me.
The best comment came after I put in my relocation: "Congratulations on the new job and your move!" I love it! Keep this up and I'll be a happy customer for years to come.

I didn't even mind paying for my extra state. ;-)

Sux on Mac. Had to Install on Windoze

I've been using TT since 2008 on my Mac. This is the 1st year I have any trouble with it. I installedTT2015 Deluxe on my Mac & proceed to do my return. I had to save my progress to continue at a later time. Subsequent lauching of the program crashed. I removed and re-installed several time as per the R&R instruction from Intuit Support site with no luck. (I am an IT professional so I had an idea what I was doing.) Finally got feed up & installed it on my PC. Copied over my current 2015 saved file and last years return so TT can import it. I was finally able to proceed with my return. Form what I was able to Google, not much support on the issue I was having with TT2015 Deluxe was crashing on my Mac. So 2 of 5 for this year version.
What's great about it: Consistant interface and flow as prev versions
What's not so great: Wasted time due to crash on Mac

It is what it is. It's a self help tax program that is very good at what it does. I have used it for years.
What's great about it: Very good at helping through the taxes.
What's not so great: Had a refund until The Affordable Care Act kicked in.

TTax more valuable than usual this year

I've been a TTax user for almost 2 decades. It always meets all of my needs. And I always sing its praises to anyone anytime it comes up in conversation. This year it delighted me more than usual because my 2 sons filed their first tax returns this year, and some of their income was derived from their own businesses (budding entrepreneurs that they are). While I know most of the tax rules for their situations, TTax "looked over my shoulder" to make sure I gave my sons accurate tax advice, and it allowed me to easily run some what-if scenarios for them.
