Easy to use, take your time, be as accurate as possible to prevent backing up to double check items

Straightforward

Turbo Tax just seems to take me right the tax preparation and form completion with little or no confusion. I don't recall having any issues. I especially like the ability to be able to value donated clothing, household goods, etc. (although I did not need to use that feature this year).
What's great about it: Walks me through step by step in a straightforward manner and provides additional help and info, if needed.

Fast and Easy!

TurboTax makes it so easy and fast to complete my taxes every year. It only takes 1-2 hours (that is, after you have gathered all your paperwork into a nice, neat pile!!)
Great way to save money, so, with my tax refund and the money I saved doing it myself, I feel "extra-rewarded".

This was a torture!

I have been using TurboTax every year and it was never as difficult as this time. I spent hours overcoming defects that executed commands incorrectly and forced me to experiment with various possible solutions. I had a very difficult time finding my way back from a worksheet to were I had been before or even finding the correct entry for a particular income or deduction. There was not always a back button available and never the possibility to undo the last step or even several sequential steps. I spent lots of time using my paper documents for needed inputs that had been entered somewhere before, and I had to ask myself:, why can the TurboTax computer not find that information faster than I can.
Every time I opened a topic again for a checkup, many check marks were erased and I had to assume that I forgot to mark them before. It happened again and again that inputs were on the wrong form. The worst experience was the disappearance of a 1040 form so that I had to start over finding all the paper documents again and the correct pages for the inputs. The headings on tabs above the input space are not a great help in finding things. I would have loved to use a switch to make the Microsoft typing rules available. etc, etc.

Started using TurboTax when we bought our house 13 years ago. 13 years of consistent, user-friendly experience. Much improved packaging this year to make it clear which version was most appropriate.
What's great about it: Walks you through areas you're unclear about
What's not so great: Took a long time to update
Pros: I bought or sold investments

File Taxes Like a Pro

What's great about it: My Tax Accountant retired this year - and TurboTax did the job well!
What's not so great: Asset depreciation and expensing stuff is a bit confusing - but I blame the IRS, not Intuit.
