Very Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for 6 years now and it is always extremely easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't want the extra expense of paying someone else to complete your taxes.

Wouldn't allow me to e-file my CA state return. I kept clicking to pat by credit card, and nothing happened. Now I have to paper file the state return.

A fine piece of software but still not with Linux

The software company Codeweavers has been working to get many pieces of Windows software working on Linux. Quicken will work with Linux, some versions of Microsoft Office and many other titles. For the simplicity of filing my returns and several others I know, it would be nice if Intuit worked with Codeweavers to make it easier to install into Linux. This is a great piece of software that I would greatly appreciate seeing in Linux.
What's great about it: Very easy navigation with clear explanations
What's not so great: Does not work with Linux

Most of the items were self-explanatory or explained in the question/answer section. I needed a real person at one point, and while that was a little difficult, once I had that person she was helpful, courteous and very sympathetic. She also gave me the phone number to call again if I had any more problems.

stuck in turbo tax review

Enjoyed the walk thru but then when I tried to print it out to mail, Turbo Tax would not let me do that unless I filled out this review and submit it to facebook or twitter. I could not print it. I was stuck in the review form. Very very frustrating.
What's great about it: easy to fill out
What's not so great: wouldn't let me print for mailing in until I submitted a review

An unexpected refund

I have used TurboTax for years and this was my best experience. I'm not sure why, for example, I hadn't taken the sales tax deduction before (I've been in Florida since 2012 where there is no income tax) and this year with having purchased a car it was particularly important. Also the automatic download from financial institutions is very very convenient.
What's great about it: Deductions I would never have thought of
What's not so great: Some instructions unclear
