Fix your security hassles

Had to go thru 3 reps on the phone to solve a simple problem that was caused by incompetent security programmers. Cost me 3 hours of my time.
What's great about it: The tax software is relatively easy to use
What's not so great: Horrible customer support and security system for Its Deductible

What's great about it: It is easy and affordable to use. Have used this product for 19 yrs

I would recommend Turbo Tax as I have used it since 1997 and find it so much easier than just doing one's return by hand. I think so many people have a tax preparer do their taxes at great cost when they could do their return themselves much cheaper. You have to gather all your information anyway so enter it yourself instead of paying someone.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Seemed like I was asked fewer questions than in the past

Simple but No Anticipation of Future

The program is good and accurate, but does not help you anticipate future situations. For example, one of my children that I had been claiming as a dependent their entire life was no longer eligible this year. It would have been great to know that last year so that I could have adjusted my withholding. Similarly, for education credits that can only be claimed a fixed number of times regardless of the value of the credit, Turbo Tax will always take the credit this year even though the credit may be more valuable in a future year. Beware of these pitfalls.

This is at least 10th year I have used Turbo Tax it gets better and to use every year. Very helpful information provided in the help sections so I can understand what I'm doing. Keep up the good work.

should be a way to determine best outcome between filing jointly and separately instead of having to do 'mock' returns for EAch situation. TAKES WAY TOO MUCH TIME - this should be part of turbotax!!

Great product. I've used it for many years with good results. My only gripe is that when you go back to review sections, sometimes the selections you've already made with check boxes aren't remembered, and you have to check the box again. This happens a lot in the MT State program.
Thanks for a great product. I will keep using it.
