TurboTax 2016 for year 2015 does it for me again

Some areas are unclear and guide you into them unnecessarily. if you use the "back" button to escape an area (did you fall victim of a fraud) Turbo will mark a form and fail to clean it, even if you cleaned any form you entered ANYTHING into and BACKED out. I found it necessary to go to the form specified and blank fields - TWICE - (not 2 fields, twice) before the program would pass its checks. Immediately before eFile (after payment & printing) TurboTax stopped with an error on my wife's W2 - which should have been caught LONG before. It was a field I put "0.00" in that TurboTax wanted blanked or non-zero. Disappointing and aggravating!
What's great about it: Manages data from last year, handles giving, computes tax accurately
What's not so great: Still had flaws in browsing areas leaving forms "unclean" if you back out

In several areas, the question was whom did the entry apply to. I would enter the appropriate person (self or wife), then during a final review, would find the answer to be changed automatically, making us think I had inadvertently left it blank. Then it happened again and I realized the program had acted upon its own initiative. I'm sure there was a reason for it, just don't know what it was.
What's great about it: Overall- excellent
What's not so great: It auto erased some of my entries.

Lots of trouble with program crashing

I am a long time and loyal Turbotax user. This year made me think twice about using it from here forward. I purchased the Download version for Mac and it was a nightmare. It kept crashing. I would work on it and then save and close the program. Next time I opened it the system crashed. I would call and spend hours on the phone with tech support. While very pleasant, they could not figure out the problem. I did this routine 4 times and finally switched to a PC version. This proved better and I was able to complete my return. Good thing too since it's due tomorrow... I will never use the Mac version again and I hope Intuit fixes this problem for others.
What's great about it: Familiarity from year to year
What's not so great: Kept crashing!

Very Best Tax Software for the Money!

I've been using Turbo Tax for over a decade. Before that I paid a CPA lots of money to do what I could do for a fraction of the cost. Turbo Tax has never failed me getting me the most out of my return that I deserve. It's too easy, why pay someone to do your taxes when it's so easy from start to finish.
Anyone can do Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy install, follow the tutorial and file

I've used Turbo tax for many years now, and find it just as simple as the year before to use. Thank you Intuit, for providing a great product.
What's great about it: Walks you through every step needed to file your own taxes.
What's not so great: None, so far
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

As expected almost

I think my one word review would be frustrating. When I first loaded the software, it said 'Welcome back' which I thought a tad odd. I couldn't find my 2014 taxes (we had PC issues so this was not on Turbo Tax but on me) so when I had to enter everything, I unfortunately put my name as 'you' and my husbands as the spouse not realizing until near the very end of all the federal return information that this was incorrect - no way to reverse the names, I had to start over. I had an identity protection PIN to enter and the help said use the 'search' feature and jump to the form when highlighted except my version didn't have a search feature - it had a 'find' box. It just went that way through the whole process. When I got to the state form, Turbo Tax has my address which includes a zip code but I had to enter the county that I live in? Just one more little thing that was irksome. I am hoping for a simplified tax code so I can submit my taxes on an IRS website for 2016.
What's great about it: Kept all my forms straight
What's not so great: difficult to find specifics (on-line help wasn't that helpful)

Mailing in State returns

every year it is essentially the same program, but every year the price goes up a little more, and there are always an extra to purchase.
My state has a cash penalty for e-filing the return, and there was no easy way to just print the return to mail. I had to go through the menu's and select not to e-file the federal return to be able to get a printed copy of state. This seems dishonest to me, maybe it's not, but I do not like the approach.
What's not so great: Nickel and dime by this program
