Fantastic, easy & thorough

We've used Turbo Tax for years and each year it gets better. This year was super easy; very user friendly and made filing taxes a piece of cake. Keep up the great work, TT! See ya again, next year.

I started using Turbo Tax about 5 years ago. The product has evolved and changed to make the processes more and more simple to accomplish. I wouldn't go so far as to say the product makes doing my taxes a joy, but it sure doesn't make it a head ache.
What's great about it: This has instructions that are very easy to follow. Make a mistake you can just backup and look at things again
What's not so great: Waiting for the product to upload when you wait until the last minute to do your taxes.

Great experience for a painful process

I've been using Turbo Tax for almost as long as the product has been available. If there was anything "fun" about doing your taxes, this would be it. I generally do eight to fifteen returns for other family members or friends, and I wouldn't do it any other way!
What's great about it: Very difficult to screw up -- takes you by the nose and leads you through it.
What's not so great: I don't like paying taxes!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still a great program

I've been using TurboTax for several years. One thing I miss in last year;s version as well as this year;s version: It's Deductible is not built in and i doesn't calculate my state estimated payments any more. I now have to calculate this manually. Please put this feature back in. It is very important to those of us who have to pay estmated quarterly taxes.
What's great about it: Made filing easier
What's not so great: Not as simple as last year

Good program, bad pricing

I had no problems with the program function.
Except: 99% of consumer programs use "save as" to rename and save in one operation. The "rename" function is very error-prone - I lost several copies of versions along the way.
I am very annoyed by all the embedded add-on sales it tries to get you to buy. The pricing for state e-filing is the worst - they try to hide this when you purchase the federal form.
What's great about it: Interview method works well. Forms easy enough to review also.
What's not so great: Sneaky pricing for state e-filing. Rename instead of "save as"

Happy Camper

I have been a loyal Turbo Tax user since the late '80's. My life is less complicated now that I am nearing retirement age and I could probably do a short form as early as next year, but I love the product and it's easy to use format. Looks like I'll be staying with you until then.
What's great about it: Fast! Simple and straight forward. Easily saves information from previous tax year, eliminating a lot of data entry.
What's not so great: Deductions are a bit tricky to understand at times. Would be nice to see actual form used BEFORE review section.
