No need to waist your money on other tax preparers
What's great about it: helpful, easy, self explanatory,
What's not so great: an estimate of refund date would be good, even though it's never guaranteed on a set date

Outstanding

This is the only way to make sense of an incomprehensible tax law, unless you go to an accountant. Especially if you don't have fancy deductions. I highly recommend it for next year. I especially like seeing the owe or refund status with every entry.
What's great about it: Easy to use & follow the directions

Could've been worse...

I'm giving Turbo Tax a 5-star review. It's the 6th year in a row and I haven't had any issues to date. I like the interactive nature of the software, but would like some predictive features based on previous uses. All in all, a less stressful experience than I've had in the past. I really like the ItsDeductible feature as we donate a lot of stuff because of growing kids. Keep up the great work!
What's great about it: Straight forward and easy to follow
What's not so great: Some parts could've used better explanation

2015 TurboTax

I entered 62 vinyl records in High condition into It's Deductible, and it computed a value of $620 based on the It's Deductible High value of $10. When TurboTax imported this, it demanded that I provide a basis for the $620 because it was over $500. No individual record was over $500, so TurboTax should not have required any further info.

Confusion with 1099-Misc business code

I have been using TurboTax for numerous years. I only had a problem filing 2014 taxes because thee was a glitch in TurboTax update. I actually had to got to their web site to get the correct update.
This year only issue was figuring out my business code for 1099-Misc I received. After entering business code it said I had to paper file. So why at completion did it ask if I wanted to e-File??

What's great about it: Basic filing was great.
What's not so great: 1099 Misc business code was confusing.

Turbo Tax sucks

I've used TT for 3 years. It's cheap and it update from last year fairly well. It doesn't do a lot of the things that are needed for a tax return these days.
It doesn't process the details of my K-1 well.
It doesn't carry over my deductions from year to year well.
It fails to recognize my partnership with my husband as being legal.
It prints out EVERYTHING when I only need one page to file a state return individually.

What's not so great: It's confusing, not accurate and doesn't cover all of my needs

Can't do without

Mostly all good however hard drive crash Lost all information from last year System however excepted information easily. One point I do rent my home and I own it at the same time that is I live in a mobile home park. I own a home on the land that i rent.
