This was my first time filing taxes on my own. I expected it to be a long and stressful process, but TurboTax made it simple and gave encouraging comments along the way.
What's great about it: so simple
What's not so great: none

Some new features may be explained via Video or links to website. Also, all college and educational credits are being eliminated or reduced. It will be of help if they are explained as well.
What's great about it: Good and faster version thus far
What's not so great: some of the newer changes are not explained
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I like the guided step-by-step process and helpful information provided. I like how much time is saved by having last year's information imported into this year's returns.
What's great about it: Super Easy, step by step instructions.

Easy to Use

I have used Turbo Tax for quite a few years now. I like that it can import many of the numbers. As tax filing goes, the older you get the easier it is. Things you used to be able to claim now are standard. No issues here. Hope retirement filing goes as well.
What's great about it: Easy to use, follow guides
What's not so great: sometimes difficult to delete items

Doing your taxes youreslf? turbotax is THE answer, whether you know something about taxes or notthing (at all). Just collect all tax related papers - or emails with links to your forms from banks, lenders, etc. - and your are done preparing confidently in no time... of course, some time... last minute will no be goodenough, but less than an afternoon of weekend day before the deadline works just fine - including filing your forms/recoreds at home.
Regarding the walk through the download user interfac on the Web page: it may have been just me... but for sure I'm ready for a chat chat with Intut's TT UX team... ;-)
What's great about it: quick, straight forward, comprehensive, and complete
What's not so great: find the download path throught the UI was a total screw up
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

had it not been for devine intervention it would have cost me over $1000 in stead I ended up saving that much.
What's great about it: does all the calculations quickly and gets you smoothly to the next section
What's not so great: not enough resources to obtain some required information.

TurboTax2015

TT uses very intuitive questions to elicit specific answers that allow the user to fill in the blanks on the form. If a person can gather all tax related information beforehand, it should be relatively simple to complete the forms and file the return. The only difficulties I have ever encountered is trying to find the place to remove or change information already entered into TT. However it does seem to be getting easier to mavigate the forms and find the correct location to change. Be sure you wait for the government to acknowledge that they have received the e-filed forms as it is simple to get caught up in printing a copy and then thinking you were done. I have been using TT for about 15 years and can see it getting better and easier to use every year.
What's great about it: simple to use
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to remove information
