Sales Tax info

When I enter my city and state, you should be able to provide specific sales tax % rather than me having to fill it. Nebraska is a state that has city sales tax. You should provide that information.

1099-MISC capabilities horrible

My daughter's return should have been so simple. She is a full-time student. She had earnings from a summer fellowship reported on a 1099-MISC form in Box 3. Turbo Tax repeatedly tried to add a Schedule C to her return and have her charged self-employment tax. After trying all the different combinations of answers I could give the software to get it to leave the Schedule C out, I got it to bypass the Sch C, but then it decided the income had to be investment income and tried to tax it at her parents' tax rate. I finally just used H&R Block's software. No problems.

I have been using your product for more years that I can remember. This year's product seemed to be even easier than before. The guide throughs were spot on and kept track of things that I never thought of looking at (like sales taxes on big ticket items) - You helped me save (legally) over $2000! Keep up the good work!

this is the worst experience we had with turbo-tax in the 6 years we vhave used. i have tried to file returns at least ten times and keep getting rejected. the reasons are very non-specific and no matter what have tried NOTHING has worked and no answers to be found. due to the date, I am forced to mail. good-bye Turbo-Tax!!

The TurboTax experience gets better each year. There was nothing this year that left me wondering whether I had covered all my deductions and income. Excellent!

To find out which filing status worked best for my husband and I I had to do each one separately to find out for myself. Years ago I had a H& R block software and it gave me recommendations without me having to do each myself and decide. When I decided to do married filing separate it did not let me completely delete all of my husbands income. Because he had gambling income it kept this info on the form and I had to finally just say I had zero income to get errors out. Also when i did online last year it did self employment tax for schedule C automatically for me. I have a small income that I have to do a schedule C for. I had a lot of wasted time yesterday figuring out how to get out of a loop that the program placed me in.
