Getting it done

Turbo Tax is always easy. Takes information from previous years and imports it in to this years return. Great explanations from the help menu. Guides me all the way through the process.
What's great about it: Completed my return in a few hours
What's not so great: extra fees

Useful Utility

I have used TurboTax for several years. As my wife and I entered a period of changed employment, retirement and social security benefits, TT facilitated the transition with useful and helpful notes and information. The explanations and references to other information sources eased the way into a new set of categories and tax situations. The tie in with our State taxes was seamless. The cautions and warnings were timely and appreciated.
What's great about it: Handled new life and income situations well.
What's not so great: A few problems in easily going back to review.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax is Great

Each year I dread the chore of 'taxes'. Turbo Tax makes an unpleasant task more bearable. It is simple and walks you through each step. If you want explanations, the search feature easily gets to the correct answers. Great program.
What's great about it: Pairing with ItsDeductible, Downloading of information, Ease of use
What's not so great: Can't think of any... except having to pay to eFile state...

Very intuitive and easy to use , dependable

I would like to see more of the analytics and demographics information. Would be cool to get some tax saving hints and modeling. Become the Apple of the tax software industry rather than make tweaks to the functionality year over year (even the images of the people in the step-by-step are the same)!
What's great about it: Ability to compare previous years and transfer info painlessly
What's not so great: Too many versions of TT - keep it simple (just two Basic / Advanced)

I'm just glad you are around to ask the questions and fill in the blanks. Have used you for years now. Used to do returns the old way (by hand).
Setting up a new login in password confused me because I don't remember having to do that before and I have already forgotten the new password I set up.
Didn't like have to hit the enter key 3 times to get past the "optional information" for IRS screen. The lease amount of personal info identifying myself the better.

What's great about it: Importing of W2s, quick tax calculation, e-filing
What's not so great: Problems connecting for updating software, which I have never had before.
