Tedious but OK

Turbotax isn't too bad, but doesn't get much better each year. For instance, each year it asks answers it should already know the answer to, from information it imports from copies of previous year's returns. I've filed with it for about 15 years.
Mortgages points: It still never knows how much of my loan points have been amoritized each year - I've learned to keep hand-written paper copies I update each year. If it has a data gap, I should be able to type that in once and have the data carry over from year to year.
It would also be nice if I could review the imported data and be able to see where it came from. For instance, in 2013 I refinanced my home mortgage, so the points counted in my schedule A included the remaining points from my old mortgage, plus an amortized amount from my new mortgage. To see the portion of amortized points so far, I'd like to see the breakout of amounts per year so far.
It asks me if I got a Federal refund last year, but should know if I did or didn't, and could maybe just show the data and have me verify. It does the same thing for State, asking if I got a refund last year and if so is it taxable. It should already have that data. Instead, I have to pull up a copy of last year's return a number of times - very time consuming and inefficient.
However, I'd say that submitting my Federal & State together this year was easier for 2015 taxes.
What's great about it: Good guidance questions
What's not so great: asks redundant questions
Pros: I moved

Could use more help options
on April 17, 2016

I love the help system, with the capacity to communicate and screen share with a live agent. However, you could drastically reduce the need for this by integrating a better help system into the application itself. For instance - every question (or, at the very least, page) should have the capacity to click maybe a question mark to generate a "what's this?" popup, detailing exactly what is meant (in layman's terms) by the question, and ending with a link to any available documentation by the IRS about it for a more in-depth overview.
Also, the questions on the K-1 stuff start off very straightforward, but quickly delve into questions that are "please give us X information, which can be found in Y place on your K-1" ... and the information does not exist, and (more importantly) I cannot even figure out where the information is SUPPOSED to exist. I had to contact an agent just to figure out that the reason I couldn't find the relevant data is because it doesn't exist on my K-1, NOT because I was being stupid. If it may not be available, mention that!
What's great about it: Generally an easy and stressless way of filing taxes
What's not so great: ... unless you have a K-1, or have no idea what you're doing

2015

Was easy (after got my records summarized) and accurate -- I like the question and answer format. Very intuitive.
However, printing (rather than e-filing) had unclear (poor) instructions. When you clicked on "print" it does not print. You have to "preview tax forms" and then print in the PDF software after it displays the forms
