great program, TurboTax

Yes, the program is getting better, and i have almost non-existent problems with it now.
Within the program, the tips are appropriate, and if i was a younger lady or gentleman, i would enjoy the side-bars that would give me that understanding of an unfamiliar tax-category or topic to sharpen up.
For the rest of us Turbo'-goons: we love the ease of execution.

What's great about it: simplified, better than previous years of convolutions
What's not so great: the detours are there, so don't take the long view on getting smart on things that have no bearing for your return!

Easy and panic free--even at the last minute

With the federal tax deadline looming just a few hours away, I was initially worried I would not be able to make an accurate filing. However, it went very smoothly and with the checking Intuit provides, I felt I got the job done correctly and without worries. My tax situation is not complex, and I have used TurboTax for many years--two facts that obviously helped a lot. However, I would definitely credit TurboTax with giving me the added confidence to be able to submit at such a late date. There was no contention problem in submitting. The only problem I ran into was finding it a bit hard to see how to mark a value or two as estimates. Intuit could possibly improve that for next year. That is pretty small beans, though. All in all a great experience.
What's great about it: I could file the day before the tax deadline, without breaking a sweat.
What's not so great: I found it a bit difficult to mark entries as estimates.

Bummer on Fed, OK on State

This is the 14th year I have used Turbo Tax. I had a few problems early, but the last two years have been good. Especially since I needed an additional state form due to a consulting assignment. I still think Turbo Tax is the best software on the market. Please keep on improving the software and Rock on!
What's great about it: Have all the necessary forms available. That's awesome
What's not so great: Taxes are confusing. The software helps but not enough
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still pretty good!

In need a deeper understanding that my return contains the family scenarios of my house hold. I want to be most sure about the family members in my house and their tax role and affect in my return. Current process left me partly confused and unsure. If their is money to be returned from the gov't I want it!
What's great about it: Carry over from long history (previous years)
What's not so great: Want more questions and deeper detail with family, family members (older than 18), and my household.

Great software package

I've used Turbo Tax since it first appeared on the market... it has never caused me a problem and has helped get the best refund. They only IRS problems I've ever had were due to my failure to provide correct or complete information on the return. IT is still getting too expensive.
What's great about it: complete, easy to use and understand and accurate
What's not so great: getting too expensive

e file doesn't work

efiling is one reason I bought turbo tax instead of others. bad choice if it doesn't work

Some issues some good

I've used it for years. It's been mostly good. I don't like all the advertising for a product that I pay for.
What's great about it: Details like flex spending forfeitures not being taxable were incredibly helpful.
What's not so great: Locked up when transmitting returns. I felt like you tried to sneak in the deluxe service when paying with the refund.
