Good Basic Tool

I like TurboTax but I would like the program to walk me through the input and suggest the best options like filing married/joint or separate... I needed to go through al the entries multiple times to make the determination.
One pass and it does the work should be the model.
What's great about it: Easy Navigation
What's not so great: Needs to handle more of the work for you

I've been using Turbo Tax for 8 years now. I have had noting but awesome things to say. I can not understand how people(unless you own a business or self employed) still take to a "tax guy"??? This is soo much cheaper & easier. You have to have all of the information anyways, why not just enter it yourself & save you time & money. Plus, you can do on the couch or bed in your scruffy clothes..haha.
What's great about it: Ease, costs. I'm a simple person & this is easy & awesome

This product is simple and easy to use. I love that it imports my information from the previous year. Less data to enter is great!

Turbotax Is Only Tax Software for Me

I have been using Tusrbotax for 5 years now. It just gets easier each time. I love it.
What's great about it: It is so thorough. No accountant could ask me all these questions.

cars used in business

I collected the business and total milage first for one of my cars. As it was one car was used at te start of the year and was replaced mid year with another. So as the forms were followed I reported the miles used for both cars. Then at the end there was an opportunity to report additional cars and I reported the second car, then had to go back and change the first set of reports of total miles and business miles to partition the milage between the two cars. You should ask at the beginning if there were more than one car used.

State questions did not have line numbers from previous years listed. Used online last few years and CD this year. I like the online better.

Step by step assistance

Enjoyed the program and it was very easy to use and helpful. When I had problems I was able to either use the search bar to get an answer or call and ask a live person for help. It took about 45 minutes to get a return call, but when I received the call they were extremely helpful.
My only complaint was that I spent a lot of time entering charitable deductions, medical expenses and business expenses which were not used because I didn't have enough deductions. Would suggest giving amounts needed to get a refund as part of the instructions. I had very few business expenses, but I thought having over $3,500 donated to Charity and over $7,250 to medical would qualify, and the end result was that I wasted a lot of time entering information I couldn't use.
