Went Well

My 6th year using... went well. Somewhat cumbersome though. Ask same questions over again. And after checking the return asks the same questions again, saying they are blank when I answered them already.
What's great about it: Simple easy to understand questions
What's not so great: Kinda long and tedious
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Mixed bag...

I"ve used TT for many years, at least 20... This year's program works, but seems to be missing several key features from years past, and costs more... For example, it doesn't ask for last year's Turbo Tax files to assist in filling out forms, and reminding about last years deductions - it used to be very helpful and sped up the process. This year's version of "Deluxe", doesn't allow you to import last year's tax file, not even Turbo Tax's. Wasted a lot of time re-entering information and having to go back to look at last year's return - a lot!
It does the minimum to get the taxes filled out properly, but it's unfortunate that the program is missing some important functions it used to have. At least it files the return for free, but you still have to pay a lot to get the program - when there's so many free apps to do this now, I will have to weigh my options more carefully next year...

What's great about it: Easy to use, straightforward.
