East to use

Great program. Easy to use. Got a bigger refund than I expected. Simple questions but the program goes deeper when needed and the "Help" function or "Learn More" were very well done. Lots of information and links to the IRS website were helpful. Well worth the modest price to purchase the product!
What's great about it: Step-by-step was great, plus I could easily switch to the Forms view to see actual tax forms.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and always feel comfortable that I'm getting the best info without worrying about errors.
What's great about it: easy, self directed, maximum benefit

TurboTax Deluxe Issues

The only 'special' form I needed was a K-1 -- did I really need the Deluxe to get that one form?
The thresholds for medical and investment deductions are revealed after all the data is entered -- a heads up before could save fruitless data entry.
Some AI needs to be added to minimize re-entering data found in earlier items.
What's great about it: Eventually, all my data as collected.
What's not so great: Deduction thresholds are revealed after entering all the data.

IRAs are the only difficult issues! Everything is plug and chug.
Itsdeductible should be used by all - so easy to import!!

My 15th Turbo Tax Filing

It's been 15 years now. No issues. It keeps getting better and it is a bargain.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax leads you by hand, in plain english, so easy to use.
What's not so great: Import from ItsDeductible took two attempts. It had issues recognizing credentials within TT.

I've used TurboTax since the 90's. Every year. I only this year found TurboTax extracted an erroneous figure in 2011 that resulted in wrong results. I've yet to figure how to get Intuit's attention to provide some support in righting the error.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Results were wrong in 2011, and have only this year been discovered, resulting in a $7000 error.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
