overall great product. frustrating that phantom K1-S corp form w/no name is generated and creates error that is hard to get rid of. Problem - cant e-file fed tax with override but cant e-file NY tax till federal is e-filed.....must file NY electronically by law if created using TT.
What's great about it: completeness, ability to again enter investment stuff on TT deluxe, having both form and interview formats-can switch
What's not so great: cant e-file fed tax with override but cant e-file NY tax till fed tax done

I may look into another tax preparer who is more honest. You said I had one free state return but then you charged me for it with no chance to do anything but pay the fee to get the tax form sent. not cool!
What's great about it: Turbotax was easy to use- I liked that
What's not so great: You charged me twice for my state form

Not easy if you have a W2 and 1099 MISC

When you have a job and a side business you do as a hobby and you have expenses, there is no place that shows you were you can submit your expenses.
What's great about it: when there is a detailed section, it's super easy
What's not so great: no where for 1099 MISC expenses

Ease of Use

TurboTax 2015 made preparing both the Federal and State tax return simple. It takes you through each line of your W-2 to make sure you have captured all relevant information. It does the same with any other income items and possible deductions, pretty much making sure you are not forgetting any items to which you are entitled. And it didn't take long to complete. (Of course you need to gather all your information just like you would if you were going to a tax preparer.) I can't think of anything negative about it.
What's great about it: Simple to use. It can walk you through every item. Easy to e-file return.
What's not so great: Nothing I can think of

The topic list should show a summary of that particular section that you just finished and should be able to go back to it if you think of something else to add or change.
What's great about it: Just answer questions and it does the work (thinking)
What's not so great: Some questions require plenty of research and documentation

Easy return

The filing process provided an expected experience with legal audit backup available for an affordable fee. I was able to navigate the minor changes compared to last year and have used TurboTax (and its predecessors) since the 1990s.
What's great about it: Instructions relatively easy to follow
What's not so great: Not all basic information available on first level. Have to go to "additional information"
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
