Better and simplified process

Having used turbotax for many years, it still is easy and thorough, but the cost of filing a state return is very disheartening.
What's great about it: Can easily use

Another year, another satisfied customer

I have been using Turbo Tax since the MS-DOS days and have been very happy with the results. We have had some unusal situations, but the program is very good at providing the right questions and the correct forms. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: Easy to follow with step-by-step and easy to check the actual forms when necessary. The help is also very useful.
What's not so great: This is picky, but an easy to find explanation of how NY state calculates your non-resident tax. (Not obvious!)

healthcare quesion

I heard that a lot of people were stressing about the healthcare question this year. I knew I had healthcare all year & a form from my employer so I couldn't imagine what the problem was. Turbo Tax may it a non-issue with only 1 or 2 questions.

Great but for one thing

I've been using TurboTax for 20 years, without complaint ever. But this year, when the 2016 version installed on my computer, it DELETED LAST YEAR'S FILE!!! This meant that it couldn't do the automatic update. Fortunately I had my PDF version saved, otherwise I'd a been screwed.

I called Turbotax and left my phone number as directed and a representative called me back within 3 minutes. He stayed on the phone with me for as long as I needed him to. He was very patient and answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to help me.
