Problem with form 8283

Larger non-cash deductions ($500+, Form 8283) need additional information. Not only did TTax fill in column (c) incorrectly on my form 8283 (and I double checked my entries) but TTax wouldn't let me fill in columns (e), (f) and (g) as required on the form. I had to print out the forms and write it in - requiring me to mail my return in, rather than e-filing it.
What's great about it: generally easy to use

TurboTax Works! It has kept up with most relevant Tax Code changes and is reliable. Add on services for an added cost, like TaxDefense provides some confidence in the event of an Audit for multiple years.
In a few instances, it is frustrating not being able to evaluate the full impact if a change. It is essential to check the impacts yourself. A very time consuming activity.
There is still a State eFile Fee! In addition, State Filing Options still has the Payment Options issues until you file your return.

Still think it way too expensive, when there are cheaper options. one of these years I will be changing and trying someone else's program.

I REALLY HATE that one must have such a new version of the Mac OS to run this . For the last 2 years, I have had to borrow a computer to do my taxes. If this keeps up, I'll have to change software.

I have been filing my tax return for last 25 years through TurboTax. Most convenient way to file taxes.

Killer Instructions for 2015 Returns

I have been using Turbo Tax Deluxe since 199 something. I have never had so much trouble with instructions. Also, after completing some sections, saving the file and closing the process I came back the next day and the data was gone and had to be entered again. What a waste of my time. I probably spent as much time completing 2015--no state return required--as I spent completing the last 5 years together.
Also, after going to the review of this, I was told my nickname--Chuck--had already been used and could not be used again. What a sloppy mess. I alone know 3 Chucks and there surely are many more out there. Crazy !!!
What's great about it: It does save time--or at least used to save time--as manual.
What's not so great: Some instructions were almost impossible to interpret and the process had to be done over and over.

Simple, convenient

I like this program. Not a fan of how much you have to spend on filing for an extra state (basically paid for two programs). I wish you could purchase another state separately, at a lower rate.
