Nothing Compares

Ive been using this for years and i am not changing its getting better and better as years pass by. and i can witness to its development.
What's great about it: evrything about it.
What's not so great: is there any?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax is the Best!

Filing tax returns is so much easier with TurboTax. I've used it for four years now and plan to continue using it. The Tax History Report comparing all of your yearly TurboTax returns is especially helpful.

Turbo Tax Review

I completed the tax today as I do every year. When it took me to the IRA deductions, it suggested me to open an IRA before the deadline to save on taxes. I contributed a lump sum to an IRA, just to find out that I did not qualify to deduct the IRA based on my adjusted income and the fact that I had contributed to a 401K. The program had this information already and should had prompted me not to contribute to the IRA as I would not be able to deduct the IRA contribution. Had I known this, I would have kept this money in my bank account to help me pay for what I owed in taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: Incorrect information on IRAs

Very good overall, Could use some refinements

* If you re-review a section through "Step by Step," it often clears previous answers. Any information previously entered should be retained.
* It should grey out/disable sections that you're not eligible for.
For example, if some else is claiming you as a dependent, the tool will still ask about education costs, then tell you you're not eligible because some else is claiming you as a dependent.
Likewise, even if your income is too high, it will allow you to enter all education expenses, and then say you can't claim a deduction because your income is too high.

so easy

I have a pretty simple return so I got through both my returns in about an hour, including adding all my itemized deductions. Have no idea how good this is if your return is complicated. It is sooo user friendly for importing all the information and moving it from federal to your state.

Great program

This is my first time using Turbo Tax. My family uses it every year and raves about its efficiency, therefore I decided to try it this year. I'm so glad I did! I received a better refund doing it myself than when using a tax preparer. I'll always use Turbo Tax as long as it's available.
What's great about it: Very clear, step-by-step, very easy to follow

I've been using for years and this year was the most difficult. Please fix for next year. Couldn't get update to load.
What's great about it: Once I got the update done I was able to complete quickly
What's not so great: Difficult to use this year.Started trying to complete in early February.wouldnt update.Tried since last week
