I'm a content customer, and I've been using TurboTax for years --- ever since our accountant retired several years ago. It's quite straightforward, and I like the fact that my personal info is auto-populated each year to save time!
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, intuitive menus
What's not so great: Some fields and sections a little confusing (especially those marked "not common")
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes made easy

This is our first year of dealing with Social Security Retirement income and was stressing over how to figure the taxable portions since only one of us was retiring. The worksheets and explanation/instructions helped to make sense of it all. Thank you!
What's great about it: Social Security Benefits and worksheets preparation
What's not so great: ability to toggle back and forth between forms, schedules and etc.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Trusted Program, Quick and Easy to Follow

Been using TurboTax for years now and even though usually wind up having to pay something, it is nice being able to go through the form line by line and looking up information to better understand why certain deductions are eligible or not. Best is being able to work on my taxes a little at a time and on my own schedule.
What's great about it: I liked being able to click for more info on each topic with additional links to even more information.
What's not so great: Not enough intial detail or description of each topic.

Why this tax program is.... Turbo!

Good and simple format. My taxes, being half retired, get tricky and TurboTax appears to ask all the right questions in a relatively painless way. I suppose, not being a tax expert, they could be missing all sorts of questions, but then they would have been sued out of business long age. As tax experiences go, it is about as good as I have had (and I did use a brand-x software a few years back).
What's great about it: Very direct, Q&A Format
What's not so great: It is taxes after all

I've used Turbo Tax Deluxe since it arrived on the market and the quality has steadily gone downhill. Much more difficult to make overrides, go back to change info on forms, etc. I'm not happy with the product anymore.
What's great about it: It's okay, used to be much better
What's not so great: More difficult to maneuver around
