Easy and cheap!

The sequence at the and of the process gives you the feeling you've filed when you are at the save and print step.
What's great about it: Inexpensive way to file. Kept records for following year saves time.
What's not so great: All the updates the software requires each time I leave and come back until i finished the return.

Would have liked to be alerted of the underpayment penalty. I discovered as I reviewed my printed copy. Then it was an adventure looking for the waiver request.

Turbotax is excellent. It takes a complex problem (Income taxes) and simplifies it to to the extent possible. Filling out my income tax is still difficult. However, I can't imagine how hard it would be without Turbotax. If I didn't use Turbotax, I would pay someone else to do my taxes, at a much higher cost.

I have used turbo tax for a few years now. And i love it! I must admit that i strayed else where last year. But, was not happy with the service. Turbo tax is very thorough. They take you through every step if you choose. I will be using Turbo tax every year from now on. Thanks to all who make it work. :)
What's great about it: It so easy to use Turbo tax. Thanks to everyone who help to make this so easy. :)
What's not so great: Have no cons.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Gets Better Each Year

I have used Turbo Tax since 1996 and have always found it to be very effective and efficient. In 2002, 2003 I experimented with some competing software, but in the end found them to be inferior wrt ease of use and contextual help. I applaud Intuit for not resting on their success by continuing to make improvements each year. I especially appreciate the Fed/State link for being able to finish my state return in about 10 minutes.
What's great about it: The interview format and previous year comparison; The running status of entries within a topic; Ease of making changes.
What's not so great: Have no dislikes.

Easy to use & handy but a bit glitchy for MAC user

I love that all my info including my checking acct (for direct deposit) as well as all my other bank/investment accounts and personal info are imported from my last year's taxes. I also love the easy way I can estimate the value of my donated clothing (I donate a lot of clothes).
It was very upset when, on my MAC, I was going along great and on to the review process when I saw the dreaded spinning/waiting MAC icon and realized turbotax was hung and I hadn't yet saved anything! I waited a while (20 minutes), gave up and killed turbotax, losing all the info I'd entered. Luckily, it only took me about 30 minutes to re-enter (saving every time I clicked 'continue') but it was upsetting.
There's a feature that reviews your taxes and gives you a fairly cryptic error message that was really hard to map back to the actual problem/entry. It would be super helpful if I could go right back to the issue from the screen identifying the issue.

What's great about it: Imports last years info (accounts, job, checking acct, etc), walks you through the process w/o stress
What's not so great: Hung on MAC (had to re-enter all data because hadn't yet saved it), hard to find where issues were coming from.
