TurboTax again, naturally!

I have been using TurboTax for almost 30 years. It just keeps getting better and better each year. As a result I have never ever considered any other computer-based tax preparation software. I tried an account a couple of times and on both occasions, the IRS made corrections IN MY FAVOR! When I recommend TurboTax to friends, which I have done for years, I ask "Why hire a single accountant when you get hundreds of them through TurboTax?" They usually agree. See ou next year,

Easy To Complete Taxes

What's great about it: Most data can easily be imported, links to sources of info are nice, navigation was very simple
What's not so great: A little pricey. Would be nice to include e-file for at least one state.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo time

This is probably the best way to navigate through the tax labyrinth. Usually self-explanatory and as a user for about 6 years now, I see that incremental improvements are made each year. Would buy again
What's great about it: This is 95% or so ideal. Not 100% but getting there.
What's not so great: Got a little scared when I tried to log in using prior year info to pay for audit protection. It balked.

It was tough getting all of the needed information details together but TT would not let you go until everything was right...
What's great about it: The software gives you all the help you should need...

Pesky Personal PIN

Filed joint return for parents because mom was alive for half the year, then I got a repeated "error message" while trying to generate her PIN. Turns out, it wasn't necessary. Wasted time with research and four attempts, before I just submitted an incomplete Fed IRS - that was accepted!
What's not so great: Wording for Personal PIN is "absolute", not reflecting that a dead person doesn't need a PIN.

A Pleasure Doing Business!

I've been a long-term user of Turbo-Tax (since 1996) and watched how the effort to complete my taxes has been simplified with every passing year. It almost takes the pain away of having to wade through the tax preparation process and leaves me with nothing to gripe about. :)
What's great about it: Simplicity Incarnate...
What's not so great: Not at all sure how some of the final numbers are calculated from the input values that were entered.
