Easy to Use!

I found it easy to follow and the tips were great.

Long-time client, worst experience ever

I have been filling my taxes with TTax for a little less than a decade. This year I decided to go with the CD version instead of the Online version. I calculated it was going to be cheaper.
It was the most difficult year to file. The internet and the CD version do not communicate. Thus I have to enter my personal info all over again. Receiving help was harder... and I ended up asking questions online which sometimes were located on the TTax online version. The whole experience was stressful, I never understood why TTax led me to declare I am business for earning miscellaneous income while I am not a business. I will probably pay a tax accountant in the future just not to risk being in this TTax mess again.

Getting overcharged

So I tried to file my state and got charged a fee plus upgrading the system each time. Not sure why.

Nothing bad to say, just a tweak I mentioned in the cons. I would not use anything else.

Happiness is Turbo Tax

In the "old" days, I entered all my figures by hand on the 1040A; the task was tedious and any change in an entry caused a landslide of changes. TurboTax takes care of all that now.
If I am tasked with gathering all of my receipts and forms to prepare for tax time, why not complete my own return with TurboTax? I learn as I go, and I save money!
Having used TurboTax for several years now, I know what receipts and copies to save and what figures and computations to have on hand.
TurboTax is a time saver, a money saver, and a marriage saver!!!
What's great about it: Explanations and directions clear and understandable.
What's not so great: Some jargon used that everyone wouldn't know like "subsidized."
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Best way for me to file.

Like this product a lot. I would like to be able to go to standard deduction without going through all the questions. I'm sure that I am not the only one who will never have deduction exceeding the standard deduction.
It also took me a while to figure out how to get to the worksheets in each area when I reopened my return after a pause.

What's great about it: I like the detail and logical progression through the return.
What's not so great: I would like to be able to go straight to standard deduction. Need to be easier to find worksheets when opening file.
