WHY not?

The worst thing about this year's Turbotax is that I was unable to enlarge the text in any way. When I hit Zoom, the page enlarges, but the text stays exactly the same as it was before and I have all that blank space to the right. It was quite frustrating. On all my other softwares the zoom or the small A vs. the large A, or the - to + slider work quite well. And I did NOT have this problem with Turbotax in years past.
What's great about it: Ok, but difficult to walk through
What's not so great: Can't edit forms once entered -- why not?

Turbotax 2015
on April 15, 2016

I've been using Turbotax for as long as I can remember. My return is not overly complicated, but TT makes it completely easy to walk through the process and feel comfortable that I am getting the right deductions.
Pulling in the information from last year's return is great and saves a lot of time.
I was the victim of identify theft last year, so I appreciate the added security features and additional personal information that is required to file. I just hope that Intuit has the appropriate information security controls in place to protect my information.
Overall, I would say I am a happy and loyal customer.
What's great about it: Simple and easy to use.
What's not so great: Would like to see better analysis and comparison of last year's numbers.

Just okay

I preferred the older versions that had people videos explaining things, that disappeared a couple years ago. I couldn't seem to use my touch screen to get down to the bottom of the page to hit the continue button. Every continue button was off the bottom of the screen, that wasn't necessary for every screen. I found an excessive delay in being able to type data in blocks. I'd get the curser into the block and start typing, only to discover nothing was happening and I'd have to start over. I received military retirement income and your guide said it would ask questions to address my spousal annuity reduction from that income, but I never answered any questions about that leaving me wondering how the program addressed that issue. It also seemed to treat my military retirement like an early 401K withdrawal before reaching age 59 1/2, leaving me unsure how the program addressed that.
What's great about it: fairly easy and quick for a simple return
What's not so great: Needs a better touch screen interface and quicker responce to type enteries
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Why no transfer this year/
on April 15, 2016

Why was the 2014 information not transferred to this year's return? It said because the form has changed -- but that is no excuse to make me do all the work all over again. It worked fine in all the previous years that I have been using Turbo Tax!!

Tax Time
on April 15, 2016

This is very frustrating when you cannot print the forms you filled out for your records. When I prompted the initial page to bring up my 2014 taxes, the beachball just kept turning.
What's great about it: Easy to fill in
What's not so great: Didn't pull up my 2014 or 2013 Taxes filed with Turbo Tax. Cannot print the forms from this site.

Smooth & Easy

I had used TurboTax for ten years or so and it just keeps getting better. I like the the interview process, but still verify by manually going through each category just to be sure I provided my information accurately and have not missed any details. I like to have all my i's dotted and t's crossed. Whether you are new to tax returns or been doing them for years, you'll find TurboTax a smooth and easy experience.
What's great about it: Straight forward interview process
What's not so great: program slow to open up

TurboTax is easy to use, this is the 4th year that I have filed using Turbo Tax. The prompts and hints were helpful when itemizing.
What's great about it: Hints, prompts, knew exactly where you were at in the process, took you right back where you left off.
What's not so great: Having ro pay to efile my tax return.

i would like to be able to access prior submissions of taxes. They are often required for banking and legal issues. the 2015 return forms hd to be accessed via 2016 titles!
What's great about it: logical approach to income and deductions
What's not so great: the intuit loses track of subscriber and returns felt like I was a stranger to the system
