Worst Experience in Years

Your help function is horrible and if you make a mistake and say selection "Partnership" instead of "Estate/Trust" it's a huge hassle to delete the form and make the correction. It would not let me complete my state return because I caught in a cycle due to this issue. Will need to reconsider my choice of programs next year.
What's great about it: Carry over of prior year data
What's not so great: If you make a mistake, it's almost impossible to delete a form

Very user-friendly

I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to avoid the high cost of a CPA. My impression is that it stays on top of the current tax law and code. I'll be using it again next year!
What's great about it: It walked me step by step through each piece of the 1040 and State return. Descriptions were very easy to understand.
What's not so great: It skipped over a few sections, but I was able to compare each summary to last year's return and go back and capture the

Very good at filing uncomplicated taxes

I tend to take the step by step approach. I want to make sure I cover everything. The vehicle tax area could have been clearer. I originally skipped it thinking it was all text and didn't realize the second column was the taxed amount. I also filed the Arizona state portion. I performed the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit. That is the official name from the state of Arizona, but is not how TurboTax had it. The wording was slightly different.
What's great about it: Easily guides a person to filing taxes
What's not so great: It will as you a lot of questions

Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have been using Turbo Tax since I downloaded a free trial version in 1996. Turbo Tax is easy to use, easy to understand, and gives you access to IRS information if you need clarification on a subject. I would not use another Tax software. Turbo Tax makes doing your taxes almost fun-the fun part is watching the numbers go down as you enter deductions & exemptions.
What's great about it: Everthing worked great.
What's not so great: None found.

Help requests are not useful either as part of Turbo Tax or online help. Looking for specific forms has to go back to toolbar which took several steps. Felt like TT did not go through personal information smoothly.
Not at all impressed even though we have used it for four years now. Probably will try another vender or tax preparer next year.
