Simple Process

Using Turbo Tax is very easy. It guides you through the process in a systematic way. You can also pick up where you left off without having to go back through things that are not needed. I also like the way it assists in valuing donated items to charity.
What's great about it: Very helpful in guiding me through the proicess
What's not so great: Did not always seem to get a direct answer to a specific question

Okay, but buggy.

I got my taxes done, and I was happy overall, but I had to exit the program and restart probably a dozen times when it froze. Good, but not perfect. Maybe it should get 4.5 stars, but not 5.
What's great about it: Does a good job on taxes
What's not so great: Buggy
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Excellent Tax Preparation Product

I've used Turbo Tax for the last several years and it is an excellent product.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Problem uploading info from T. Rowe Price. My password was 2 characters too long.

MUCH BETTER THAN HR BLOCK

LAST YEAR, I TRIED TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS AND I USED HR BLOCK SOFTWARE...BIG MISTAKE. SWITCHED BACK TO TURBOTAX THIS YEAR AND EVERYTHING WENT FINE. ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS THAT I COULD NOT ENTER A THIRD PARTY DESIGNEE ON MY MOTHER'S RETURN THAT I PREPARED FOR HER.
What's great about it: MUCH EASIER
What's not so great: COULD NOT ENTER A THIRD PARTY DESIGNEE

That wasn't so bad...

Filing the Federal Return online was easy and free.
I would like to see Turbotax add info. to help me mail in my completed state taxes. A check sheet showing step by step directions would be great! What do I include with my state info. etc. Maybe you could add a link for each state that would lead you to that state's info. for filing.
I had to pay to file state taxes online and would like to file by mail in the future and save the added expense.

Confusing to select but easy to use

After several years of using TurboTax, this time was absolutely easy-peasy. Once upon a time, one switched between Forms and EasyStep not knowing where on the page one might return to. I love that TurboTax takes me directly back to where I left off.
The ability to download data from bank and investment accounts is one of the strongest reasons we use TurboTax. I also like that information entered on the Federal return is automatically transferred to the State return.
After last year's confusion with Deluxe not having the capital gains and losses section and having to upgrade to Premier, I was careful this year to check the chart on the package. I was confused, but selected Deluxe based on last year's promise by TurboTax that it would revert to the forms included in 2014 and previous years. Deluxe 2016 had everything I needed.
What's great about it: Like switching between EasyStep and Forms and back
What's not so great: Packaging confused me on product to select
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I moved

Process remains quick and fairly easy

Thank you for providing a confidence-inspiring product year after year and for admitting your mistake last year. Hopefully I will continue to use Turbo Tax unless there are drastic changes in the program or in my taxes OR if the price continues escalate.
What's great about it: Downloading of last year's info
What's not so great: Would like an accurate count of deductions a I go along so I can see how it is stacking up against the standard deducti
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

EASY PEASY as usual

I really like that Turbo Tax is EASY and uses "normal," everyday language that anyone can understand; explanations of terms are offered if you are still left confused. It is also AFFORDABLE compared to paying a tax professional and CONVENIENT - I can work at my own pace, where ever I choose, and I don't have to worry about disrupting my already-crazy schedule with another appointment to see an Accountant.... I don't have to have all of my paperwork gathered when I sit down with Turbo Tax - if there is something that I need, I can just go get it - I don't have to worry about making another appointment or driving all over the country in search of documents that the accountant might randomly request. All of these things make Turbo Tax very very convenient. I have been using it for at least 7 or 8 years, maybe more!
What's great about it: convenient to my schedule, EASY, quick
What's not so great: state eFile is not included
Pros: I had a baby
