Mixed--but on the Upside

8th year using Turbo Tax...and I'll try to keep using it because of its ease of use and accuracy. That said, it does have a flaw that's annoying. I receive a $250 1099-Misc form (have received it for years) to help cover my Long Term Care premiums. For the last few years, I've had to find a work around for reporting the $250. This year, Turbo Tax was forcing me into Schedule C when I followed the prompts for 1099-Misc reporting.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Could not Properly Handle a $250 1099-Misc Form

Difficult to get around artifical intelligence

After being told I COULD NOT EFILE State return took over 20 minutes to get to the prompts to print for mailing . Kept on prompting me to efile.
Providing drivers license information made me feel uncomfortable, too much personal information out in cyberspace.
What's great about it: Copied info from previous year
What's not so great: Difficulty in printing form for mailing

Love Turbotax!

I've been using TurboTax for ten years and have always had a good experience with it. When I was in business I used the Premier edition and now that I'm retired the Deluxe product works just fine.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step directions.
What's not so great: Can't think of any

How Easy It Is!

TurboTax makes it so easy I don't know why I wait so long to file. In the years I've used TurboTax only once did I get questioned about my deductions, which by the way were correct. I have friends that pay big bucks to have their taxes figured, what a waste of money.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Nothing
