I found turbo tax to be difficult to follow, correct. get help and costly. Not likely to use again. Will return to the old pen/pencil method.

I love Turbo Tax. I has helped me for years do my taxes. It was also very helpful to have the previous years information available while doing my Mom's taxes since she passed away last year.
What's great about it: Simply and resources available

Used HR block in past. Think I will change back. I didn't not like the changed format from last year.

Saves on trips to tax people

Listening to friends talk about gathering their tax documents, sending or taking them to a tax consultant, meeting with consultant, making another trip to sign returns, etc. makes me wonder why they are using a tax consultant. They are still doing most of the leg work of gathering the documents and all the tax consultant is doing is probably entering the information into a similar program as TurboTax, so why not just do it themselves and save the time and extra money?
What's great about it: Easy to navigate through the program, good instructions, saves a lot of time

Especially liked using It's Deductible for valuing many noncash donations we made as part of moving from old house to new one.

It was fun and entertaining. Using previous tax returns is a real time saver. It was thorough in asking the right questions. Fast and accurate. Had to scroll down to the next section. Maybe have next section on top and have user scroll down to section that needs to be reviewed. tedious in scrolling down to the next section. Other than that, great product.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy to use, thorough
What's not so great: Tedious, overscrolling
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
