When my wife transferred the Turbo tax file to me via a thumb drive so I could add my tax information, two of her 8949 forms were dropped by the joint file I was inputting my information to. We had to re-input her information for the two forms 8949.
Otherwise the Turbo tax software worked great.

Mostly a good experience

It was relatively simple to file taxes with TurboTax this year as most of the information was automatically brought over from last years return.
What's great about it: Mostly fun to use, always keeping you up to date as to who owes who
What's not so great: Software price

Missing Questions

I lost a bunch of info when i closed out the file, to come back another day. Had to refill the forms. F- on that issue.
Next, it didn't ask all the questions it should have, esp regarding capital loss carry forwards. Didn't ask for the carry forward from last year for Long Term and Short Term, so I had to look at last year's form and figure it out myself. F- on that one.
Page showing topics that I can choose to work on was nowhere as clear or as comprehensive as last year.
What's great about it: Leads you thru step, by step, can come back to same place after leaving for a day.
What's not so great: Does not automatically save when putting it away. Does not ask all the questions

Have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue. It makes filing taxes soooooo easy.

Return Blast Off!

I would recommend using Turbo Tax to others to file your taxes every year. It took only one day for doing taxes for us. Only had to make sure we had all our documents and then completed.
What's great about it: the step by step process made fast and easy completion
What's not so great: sesion on PIN in e-file not as clear as I would have liked had to research and contact turbo tax to get clear answer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Clergy

It is extremely difficult to correctly enter clergy housing allowance when applied to 1099R income while still being able to E File. I know many clergy who use the product, retired and active. It would be nice if you would fix this. It's been an ongoing issue, I see from FAQ. Further, to even come close, as a retired person, I have to buy the more expensive version of Turbo Tax; the basic version is no help in the situation.
