A feature that would allow computing of estimated withholding for the next tax year would be helpful.
What's great about it: Good guidance and easy to follow.
What's not so great: when adding medical expenses an indication of the min. required to get a deduction would be helpful.

Easy!!

Even though I have to pay, turbo tax makes it less painful. It's super quick and if you don't understand something they explain it.
What's great about it: Quick and relatively painless
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

the first year is more time consuming as you enter all your background information. once that is done, the information is automatically downloaded to your returns. great feature!

The best software for taxes

I've been using TurboTax for several years and I can usually do my taxes in a couple of days. The one area that could use more support is for options regarding health insurance penalty processing. I'm on social security and ended up paying $3200 for my unemployed, living at home, adult sons who are not insured! TurboTax hinted that help would be provided for my situation but not none was offered during the remainder of the tax filling process!
What's great about it: Walks user through the entire process with adequate help in most areas.
What's not so great: Needed more help with health insurance penalty.

This year taxes were easy and went well. My main problem was finding all the data needed, but the instructions were clear to tell me what was needed.
