Streamlined

Assembling records and using Its Deductible increases confidence and minimizes stress. Moving into retirement Turbotax guided me to new forms and streamlined process.
What's great about it: excellent carry over year to year. Streamlined completion this year.
What's not so great: no free lunch
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Best Tax Software

Have been a Turbo Tax user for many years. There is a big benefit in the portability of info from the previous year...makes entering data a breeze when there are same or similar entries. Had to do a few more steps this year to make sure that was done... this should be the very first thing that the software does for a user.
What's great about it: Easy to Use, Import Data from Previous Year
What's not so great: Few Cons
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Quick and easy

TurboTax is the way to go for busy individuals who would have to gather tax documents and records anyway for bringing to an accountant--this way you don't have to leave the house but can just work on it in the evenings when home from work or at any time convenient to you--and you are kept in touch with your finances by doing your taxes yourself: always a good thing.
What's great about it: transfer of last year's info onto this year's; handles all the calculations
What's not so great: you still have to gather and organize all your own information

Use TurboTax every year

Used TurboTax's list of what products are worth when calculating household, etc., donations, After adding things up the total came to a lot more than I thought or used in the past.
What's great about it: I seldom have any problems using TurboTax. I like going through each subject individually. I always get refunds.
What's not so great: New Community Property info needed for federal taxes

Most of the program was painless. Do not use if you are itemizing deductions. We had 4 pages of deductions and each line item requires three screens with descriptions and drop down menus. If you keep meticulous records you shouldn't be penalized by not being able to import documents. The credit card function has two buttons "back" and "close". I did not purchase the audit protection because of this cute puzzle. The hotline is only available during your work hours and saturday. So if you are doing taxes after work no dice. If you can do taxes while on the clock or spending quality saturday time then this is for you.
What's great about it: very thorough
What's not so great: Not for those who are itemizing or paying with credit card

2015 easily filled returns

TurboTax is an effective software application that significantly facilitates the process of preparation and submission of tax returns. I have used it for several years and plan to continue using it again in the future.
What's great about it: TrboTax guided me well through all process
What's not so great: Took time, but it was worthy

Turbo Tax 2015 Rules

I use Turbo Tax each year and it makes filing very easy. It took me about 3 hours, but we have an in depth tax form. I recommend Turbo Tax.
