Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and find it very east to use. There is support if you need to use it. I will continue to use it in the future.

Great - again!

I've been using TurboTax for over 12 years now. It's easy to use, and I appreciate the option to be led through a topic with a series of questions or can go it on my own if it's a topic I'm familiar with. The program is thorough & exact; does everything I need it to do -- I definitely trust it!

Very easy but I have simple return. Wasn't expecting to have to buy state return (never have in the past). The state return should come with at least one free e-file.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really liked the thoroughness of the package. The only frustration came while waiting for it to load and/or update. After it started and/or updated it worked very efficiently.
What's great about it: very thorough
What's not so great: very slow loading

I've been using TTax for so long now I cant remember the first time. Never had a problem with the software. Never been questioned by the IRS. It has gotten easier through the years. It's never fun doing taxes but Turbo tax is very efficient and cost effective.
What's great about it: Cost effective
What's not so great: Took me a couple of hours
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

No doubt, the best tax preparation software on the market today. I used Turbotax Deluxe Desktop (TTD) version this year. First, I gathered all my tax documents. Clicked begin, once the software was opened, and transferred my prior year return. From there is was just a matter of reviewing each screen to see if it applied and entering information if necessary. I navigated through each screen entering my information when required. Next thing I know it's time for the federal review. Done the federal review with no errors; now on to the state return. Turbotax had already transferred my federal information to the state return so I simply edited the state to ensure it was correct. The software made me aware of a credit for the state which is alright in my book. Now that the state return is finished; time to efile. The e-file process had an additional ID verification feature this year (which is much needed due to identity theft). Entered additional ID verification info; logged into my account to pay for state e-file; clicked transmit button and successfully e-filed returns. Simply stated, this software is superb. If you have all your tax documents and walk through the screens you will never have a problem with Turbotax. Thank you for this awesome software and please keep up the good work.

Easy to use

This was the first time my wife worked as an independent contractor. I was worried about whether or not Deluxe would be ok or whether we should go to the Home and Business version. She didn't have much equipment or any inventory so I thought I would try working through Deluxe before paying for the upgrade--but I had no problems. It handled standard home office deduction, and basic business expenses. I think anything more complicated and I would have upgraded, but for what we needed Deluxe was fine.
Turbo Tax makes it easy ...
