Two state refund

Great product! Will probably use again next year.
What's great about it: Walked me thru a lot of stuff and found goof ups.
What's not so great: Having to work with taxes in 2 states as well as federal
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Deluxe

I have used two Turbo Tax products, Business and Deluxe for a number of years.
Business, with a two person partnership, has been very helpful. It could deal with having a rental property along with a service business a bit easier, however. But, that is an unusual business situation. The program doesn't appear to keep track of past business losses, even when using Turbo-Tax for the whole length of business ownership, so that information must be kept outside of the program.
Deluxe walks you through the required information, and does it efficiently. It would be nice to have the personal tax software link to the business software to transfer data automatically. But, overall, it works nicely.

What's great about it: Choice of alternating between step-by-step or forms allows one to see just what is happening as you proceed
What's not so great: Explanations on State step-by-step are limited in helping one to understand.

Turbo Tax-Simple/Straightforward/Stupendous

What's great about it: TT Deluxe covers all the basics and then some. Everything you need is at your finger tips!
What's not so great: I've found that sometimes, answering one question negates an entry in another section.

effective and easy to use

overall excellent product. Organized and very effective in the "interview" format. I like not having to study tax guides, instructions and complete calculation worksheets. Excellent product and it's saved me thousands of dollars over the years
What's great about it: interview format is very effective. Eliminates calculations and any knowledge of the tax law.
What's not so great: errors on forms are hard to track back to the interview
