What's great about it: Solid work-thu path

What's not so great: when going thru the sections as each new section came up for inc or deductions I had to scroll to the bottom to get it

Need to advertise cost of e-file on package
on April 14, 2016
Posted by: Tumbleweed94
Very good software for step by step evaluation and input of tax information. The surprise was at the end when the cost of e-filing is revealed. One would think the cost of the software would include or reduce the e-file cost.
Welcome to the digital age. The cost of a "paperless" society
What's great about it: quick and good if you have the supporting documents
What's not so great: The cost of e-file at the end was high. Especially after paying for the software to file.

What's not so great: Cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Navigated the partial states and home sale
on April 14, 2016
Posted by: jenniabsole
We had straightforward W2 and a home sale, but income from one state but lived in two. Only thing was we had to buy the extra state for preparing that return, but it was all seamless. We have been using TurboTax for years, and might try with self-employment but this year seems a bit daunting to figure out without a professional.
What's great about it: Handled home sale, two states, easy!
What's not so great: One thing it caught in a state review was in the form, without much info on how to fill in field
Pros: I moved

Confusing at times
on April 14, 2016
Posted by: anonamama
I was trying to deduct business expenses and had to actually go to Schedule C before I could find the spots I needed. When I went back to the routine Turbo Tax Q & A I recognized the area I needed. The nomenclature for the different sections is/can be confusing
What's great about it: Automatic math
What's not so great: convoluted layouts
