Confusing - Sneaky

I was not able to import the previous years information onto this return, thus it took longer. The instructions to do this were not clear, and in fact it hadn't been problem for me in the previous 15 - 20 years. Turbo Tax said that the forms that were taken out of because of product changes last year were brought back (for the Deluxe Version) They were the forms that neccessitated buying the Premier version last year which was $30 more. However the easy step interview was not clear, and I had to go back to the previous year to see what I had to do. Even if I had to pay more to upgrade It was still cheaper than going to a professional tax service.
What's great about it: Step by Step process was helpful much of the time
What's not so great: The easy step interview was hard to follow

TurboTax Deluxe

I like that I can work on my taxes as information comes in and then easily complete for filing.
I've used TurboTax for over 10 years and find it a little easier to use each year. This is possibly because I'm more familiar with your product and because you've made your product a little easier to navigate.
Usually there is a submit button to push after review
What's great about it: Easier to navigate than in previous years. Intuit didn't make the surprise changes to TurboTax Deluxe which caused majo
What's not so great: Figuring estimated taxes & applying some or all of my refund to estimated taxes was not very intuitive.

Mass health tax form needs work and efile price

efile for state should be included in the purchase price up front.
Mass state Health Care ask for 1099hc when only given 1095b.

Guides the amateur through the process with little acid reflux. However, it occasionally leaves the client without a clear idea if they are in the right place for certain deductions or additions. And I, as an artist, was never sure what was meant by fairly common business terms (what does inventory mean wrt paintings, sketches, frames and framing materials, manuscripts, proofs,)
What's great about it: seems to be complete and inclusive

Generally OK, but a Few Problems

This is never a fun experience, and I'm used to the long lists of questions, understanding that these are in there to insure compliance and make sure my taxes are calculated correctly.
For some reason, TurboTax got hung up on the cell on Form 8829 that shows percent of business use of equipment purchased for business purposes. It wouldn't allow me to change the entry or put in new figures. No relevant online help was available.
What's not so great: Form 8829 didn't allow corrective input

2015 Turbo Tax

I used TurboTax since 2004. Every year it gets easier to use. I plan to use it for the foreseeable future.
What's great about it: Easy and straight forward
What's not so great: Never found out how to use part of my refund to pay 1st quarter estimated taxes
