relatively smooth & easy

Had to try to uninstall and then reinstall 2 times when there was a glitch in the updates for the 2015 year. Eventually took several hours to get straightened out, but once done the returns themselves were the typical smooth TurboTax screen-by-screen project.
What's great about it: do it yourself
What's not so great: software cannot repair when glitches with updates

Sneaky costs

The program seems to get somewhat lost if you interrupt some sequence in which you are supposed to go. Overcharging is certainly an issue with Turbotax, especially doing so in a surprise way!
What's great about it: decent
What's not so great: I dislike find out afterward about fees and costs that should have been disclosed upfront.

i would like to see more info on on the HSA deductions and why they are not considered deductible, and why they are considered a employer contribution.

Poor Stability

Program continually crashed mid session. Sometimes multiple times. Usually occurred during a save or print function, but it also occurred during the e-file process. I am unsure whether my files were sent correctly. I will follow up with support.
What's great about it: Programmed entry system
What's not so great: stability
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Finally Finished My 2015 Return

Even though I have used TurboTax for several years my data from previous years did not come over to my forms this year, maybe because I used a different/new computer. However, my account is still recognized, credit card used last year, user ID and email address; but not my banking, employer ID, my full name or nickname.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use and save to work on several days
What's not so great: Data from last year did not come over
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made my Refund Convieniet

I liked the fact, I was in control of when and where I wanted to do my taxes. No waiting in line, no did I bring all my paperwork with me. No business hours to worry about. The one thing that has me concern, was when i did the error check. Turbo Tax did tell me where the error was, but I had to hunt for the field in question, to see what I needed to correct.
What's great about it: On my time, when I wanted to do my taxes!
What's not so great: Error check did not take me straight to error in question or to the line item on the form.

I would like to recommend one important addition

I would like to see an important change to the Turbo Tax disc itself. I ran into a big problem this year when I tried to access my 2014 tax return. I thought it would be stored to the disc itself. Much to my dismay, it was not. My computer broke down and I was not able to get it repaired so I was unable to print it out, and I am not able to get a copy. If the Turbo Tax disc had the ability to store the information it would have saved me. With this single exception, I have been very happy with Turbo Tax for many years. I am retired now, so unless something unusual happens, I will no longer need to file taxes. Thank you for many years of quality services.
What's great about it: Been happy with it for many years.
What's not so great: the tax disc itself.
