20+ years of using Turbo Tax

We have used Turbo Tax to do our taxes for over 20 years now.
I trust this software, although the questions have become repetitive, & some answers should be known within the data, since we have filed the info for so many years.
However, even with this small irritant, we would not use any other brand.

What's great about it: Easy to use, saves info from previous year
What's not so great: Asks repetitive questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Completing returns for multiple states was so easy

Because I moved, I had to complete returns for two states. I initially tried to file using TurboTax for one state, then do second state using paper forms, but it was too confusing. When I download TurboTax support for that state, it was a snap because TurboTax had already collected all the necessary information
What's great about it: I liked having Turbotax handle returns for multiple states
What's not so great: none

Workable but complex for RDPs

A lot of time, but felt I had control. RDP doable but problematic for average person.
What's great about it: good step by step. First year of RDP reporting, knew more than my local CPA
What's not so great: should prompt to add negative numbers when required
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Thank Goodness for TurboTax!

We have been using TurboTax from its very first edition. Gone are the days of manual tax prep when part-way through, you find you need some additional forms and had to go to the local library to get them. Gone are the days of hoping you entered all the correct data, or missed a deduction (Hmm, did I forget something?), or using a paid Tax Service or Accountant only to have them make a bunch of mistakes caught by the IRS (who needs to pay for mistakes!). With all of the pressures of modern life, it truly is a blessing to be able to now confidently and quickly move through what used to be a torturous but necessary evil of life by using TurboTax!
Kudos to the TurboTax Staff for making life just a little bit easier and every bit counts!
What's great about it: Great step-by-step guidance all the way, all necessary forms are provided, very simple to use.
What's not so great: Only wish the List of Charitable Organizations could be sorted alphabetically to make data entry quicker.

Good deal

If you are a self-employed (very small individual using a home office) the sections helping you figure out your business deductions is particularly helpful. Also very helpful in figuring out your itemized deductions for the Form 1040, Schedule A.

easy and accurate

After 25 yrs my account retired and I did my own to understand what was going on. It took a slow two weeks. Bought Turbo TAX
Deluxe and in a few hours II(TT) got the same figure rounded. WOW I will save time next year. I'm a believer.
