guess good if old lady can do it

part of problem was that I used another software last year after being a faithful user for years of turbo tax however I was disappointed in Turbo Tax last year when they would not provide the forms I needed in the version I wanted to use.
This years disappointment was the fact if you did not read the fine print you thought you could e file state for free

I was uncertain what was needed to spread my income out. The penalty was so small it didn't make sense to try to figure out income each quarter along with deductions. I couldn't figure out how to back out of method I used and replace with just let them do it.
What's great about it: Lots of help internally to the program - mostly. Like the fact info moves where needed adn overall very easy to use.
What's not so great: I incurred a penality due to under payment. My income was highly varied as I reitred midyear, this was very confusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy and Great

Have used Turbo Tax for 15 years. It continues to be straight
forward. Just answer all questions and the chances of mistakes are extremely slim

Almost fun doing my taxes!

I have used this product for years and have never had any issues. Always guide me and picks up data from the previous year which helps.

2015 Tax Returns

I love Turbo Tax have been using since it began. Would not consider using anything else to do my Taxes.

Good but need more elderly/disabled dependent info

I don't feel Turbotax is sufficiently clear about vetting an elderly/disabled parent & their Social Security/Disability income as an eligible dependent - this is becoming more & more important for heads of household with aging baby-boomer parents

2015 Turbo Tax

Two areas come to mind when using Turbo Tax for many, many consecutive years. Turbo Tax should know the following information and should show that information rather than asking for it again:
1) Amortization of mortgage points and
2) Stock loss information that exceeds thresholds

In addition to using flags, the user should be able to mark individual entries as estimates (and maybe change the color of the entry) so that the full scope of their taxes can be estimated quickly and easily. The estimates would be required to be changed to actual entries before submission.
What's great about it: Easy to use; pretty comprehensive
What's not so great: Not all information is carried over from previous years
