I had little difficulty with completing most of the tax return. I did experience some confusion when entering information from a K-1 because a previous section seemed to be related to the same topic and did in fact take the information which I entered later into the K-1 section and add to the Royalties section, so I have to go back to the Royalties section and delete the information previously entered to avoid the duplication. A similar situation occurred with a 1099-Misc relating to some reimbursed medical expenses from an HSA.
What's great about it: Was able to go through and complete forms with little difficulty
What's not so great: A couple of sections it was unclear what was to be filled in

All good except for annuities and retirement payments. Too vague on info wanted for plan cost etc on that page. Had to do a lot of reading and hope got it all straight.
What's great about it: info crosses over from 1 year to the next
What's not so great: first year with pension, annuities and SS - worksheet info not clear what info wanted
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. It is easy to use. The only problem I have is getting an understanding of items I'm not sure about.
What's great about it: Makes the tax filing process easier
What's not so great: Unable to answer questions to understanding

Next year maybe we could use Paypal or our checking account to pay for e-file fees
What's great about it: filing gets easier and easier every year
What's not so great: the bank charge for paying e-file with your refund

Did a good job on the 1040, state is a breeze. Very accurate getting efile information. The federal efile was free.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything, asked the right questions, no problem with install or getting updates
What's not so great: Hard to find any

2016 Good but 2017 ?

No easy way to get files from old xp machine over to newer PC or laptop.
What's great about it: Worked well in 2016
What's not so great: No Support for Windows XP in 2017
