Many Years of Turbotax

I've used Turbotax for years and love it. However, the 2015 Ohio state questions related to medical expenses, insurance premiums and subsidized/unsubsidized insurance were unclear and very confusing. In addition, the help provided within Turbotax was not at all helpful. With Obamacare firmly in place, clear explanations and definitions are needed to help get through this portion of the taxes.
What's great about it: step by step instructions throughout
What's not so great: state medical expense questions very confusing

Taxes made EASY

I have used TurboTax for many years and like it - a lot. I have only had an occasional difficult situation to enter data (e.g., HSA discontinued during tax year and $$ returned; estimated tax paid - did not fit well as input). It's generally a GREAT product. My (silly) SS under-reporting error could have been caught by TurboTax since my SS went down year-to-year (VERY uncommon) but was not. No complaints though on my part.
What's great about it: Good guidance and explanations of tax considerations; math was done for you and checked.
What's not so great: Made error on 2014 return -entered after-tax SS amount instead of pre-tax amount. IRS caught this obvious error.

What's not so great: to go Back, going through all the forms before I get what I want.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Not as Easy as in years past

I have used your products for years. This year I found it to be less helpful. The pages with options for me to open them with what they would cover was of no help. If I wanted to look at a form like that I would have completed a paper file instead of online.
Bring back the version of Taxes for Dummies please!

Great product!

Back in the day, when tax prep software was only for the tax professional, I used TurboTax for our personal taxes. Due to some involved tax situations over the past six years, our taxes were prepared by a CFP. I have returned to TurboTax for our 2015 taxes, and am very impressed. In the past, I always appreciated the ease of tax prep with TurboTax, and can honestly say that today's software was almost enjoyable to use -- easy, full of helpful tax information and explanations, and personalized returns ready for filing. Even with a couple of Federal eFile rejections, TurboTax was right there to help correct errors and get both our the state and fed returns accepted quickly.
I will continue to use TurboTax for both federal and state tax filings for as long as TurboTax is available. I heartily recommend this tax software for both newbies and seasoned tax payers. Try it -- you won't be sorry.

It gets better every year!

I like doing my own taxes, because it saves money. With Quicken and It's Deductible, doing my taxes is a breeze!
What's great about it: I see improvements in the format every year. It takes less time than I anticipate.
