Refund galore

The question were easy to follow. I was surprised on the deductions and it took a little time finding the receipts for the correct amount.
What's great about it: easy to fill out!
What's not so great: I didn't know I had all the deduction and it took a little time finding the receipts.

Great until there were errors

I have used Turbo Tax every year for the last three years, and the thing I love about it is that the way things are worded are very clear; I don't have to be an accountant to understand what I'm doing. Everything was great with this year as well. However, when I got to the error-checking section, they asked me to fill in information with no basis to understand what was being asked for. The QuickZoom feature to see business codes was not working properly, and I had to search online in order to figure out what was needed for 2 errors.
What's great about it: Everything I plugged in was very intuitive
What's not so great: Errors section was NOT intuitive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Getting better each year. Very easy to work with.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: State Tax Returns are too expensive.

Complex return - Done

We moved states this year, and a lot of the federal information had to be manually factored and entered to split out the different state data.
What's great about it: Easy to input, as usual
What's not so great: Did not seem to recognize state information splits

I moved into my residence and stopped renting it out in 2014. I wanted to keep depreciation records in case I rented it out again. TurboTax kept giving me a validation error, so I had to delete the property.
For California, I went to review the return and was caught in another loop to re-review the state info again. I went back the next day and didn't have the same issue. (I did see other people had this issue online.)

Took a while BUT

Very pleased because I figured I'd get stuck at some point and end up paying an accountant. Fortunately I got through it, as the program is very user friendly.
