I love TurboTax!

I've used it for years - I'll continue using it for the foreseeable future. Guides me through what I need to do, teaches me along the way - and makes me feel pretty secure about not messing up my taxes!
What's great about it: Guides me through the process - making it almost painless
What's not so great: None!

Big Time Saver!

I do not believe I could do our taxes without Turbo Tax. I use the program every year, and it makes my life so much easier. My Husband is 85 and I am 83, and to attempt to do our tax return by hand would turn me into a total basket case.
By using Turbo Tax, I get our taxes finished in a few days with a minimum of foggy brain issues. Thank you, TURBO TAX!
What's great about it: It really helps to transfer all important information to the next calendar year.
What's not so great: There was an incorrect date on my 2015 Disc (It was 2016) and it led to confusion in opening my working return for 2015.

Fix this Glitch

PLEASE let the ALL the BUTTONS remember what I selected. It is quite frustrating that while the numbers and words stay put, some of the buttons that one selects DO NOT STAY. If the software is designed to automatically select the predominant choice but I have to select one of the other options, please let it remember that as I go through the pages!
What's great about it: Mostly easy to use
What's not so great: Some things have to be continually changed

Turbo Tax Federal State review

Filling out the federal form was fairly straightforward, with enough help on items of question. Unfortunately, there is little help available when filling out the state form--sometimes I was prompted for an entry and had no idea how to get it. I had to search state tax info separately.
What's great about it: Federal form was well organized
What's not so great: No help available on state form.

Confusion Almost Won

This year's TT session was harrowing. When TT is asking questions about a retirement plans payouts, they should put the name of the plan on the screen WITH the question.
What's great about it: TT got me thru my first year reporting RMDs
What's not so great: The definitions are hard to understand, esp in the NJ return. That 3 year plan on the Federal return botched NJ for me
Pros: I bought or sold investments
