Confusion comes from the page referring to payment for services. Program should state WHAT service we are paying for, i.e. - cost of filing the State return vs. paying for unwanted audit protection services! Payment page should reiterate what service is paid for!
What's great about it: Very courteous agent helping us file electronically
What's not so great: Program confusion around attempt to file electronically
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes done right.

I've been using TurboTax software to file my individual income taxes for the past decade or so and the single thought that always pops into my mind is: "Thank God for TurboTax!".
Before TurboTax filing taxes was fraught with anxiety, headache, elevated blood pressure and tension, and countless frustrating hours trying to read instructions and schedules. With TurboTax it couldn't be simpler; basically following directions. And the process is so refined, efficient, and thorough that there isn't any missing deductions which could be missed. Best of all are the step-by-step directions such that it is almost like being held by the hand and figuratively walked through the filing process. And free electronic filing of federal taxes is such a convenience and a godsend. Too bad my particular state (Minnesota) isn't progressive enough to allow free tax filing for all filers.
Basically, unless you're a small business with very complicated business transactions, as an individual or married tax filer there is no need to pay anyone to file your taxes because it's so much cheaper and easier to use TurboTax.
Thanks TurboTax for making a very un-pleasant duty efficient, tolerable, and painless as possible!

Easier to use than last year. Liked the page marks allowing to start where left off. Did not like having to enter DL information for verification of identification when already using a PIN.

NOT very user friendly when spouse is active duty and claims another non tax state. Seems it would be easier to file Federal and break out the old pencil and do the State by hand.
What's great about it: Fast federal return
What's not so great: Sucks when spouse is in the military and claims another state
