Longtime user of TurboTax

I've used TurboTax every year since 2004 so I'm reasonably comfortable with the product. I really like that I can call up the details of data from the previous year for items like charitable contributions, dividends, medical expenses and related travel expenses. It saves a lot of time. I also like the ability to switch back and forth between interview questions and the forms.
What's great about it: I like the worksheets that retain info from the previous year
What's not so great: Fortunately, there's a help button for when I can't find previously input data through the Forms function.

Do away with IRS - vote Ted Cruz'

TurboTax explanations of items that I was not sure of were well written and helpful. Overall, I don't know how the process of filing income tax could be made easier. I hear there is some congressional action to pass legislation that will do that. I hope some state will try the simpler approach and see how well it works.
What's great about it: The walk through is well designed
What's not so great: Didn't pick up my credit union info from last year. I has to hand enter numbers from Fidelity Investment and others.

We have ten sources of income. Turbo can handle them with no problem. I like being able to see how answering questions differently shows the impact on the taxes instantly.

Charitable contributions

It is so annoying that every charitable contribution generates 3-4 sheets of paper If one contriburtes to a large no of charities, it generates an enormous quantity of paper. Isnt there a way to simplify the process?

Should be asked to get last years return from the internet or localy. Last year I did our taxes online, this year I purchased and loaded the software on a home computer. Was not able to import last years data.
What's great about it: Very easey to fill out
What's not so great: E-Trade information: was hard to understand where to input.
